Dr. Hani Bibawi, DClinSci, FIBMS, FRCPath

Dr. Hani Bibawi is an Attending Physician in Hematopathology. He joined Sidra Medicine in 2017. Prior to Sidra Medicine, Dr. Bibawi worked at the Haemto-Oncology Diagnostic Services (HODs) at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and the Department of Haematology at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK.

In his role as a Consultant Clinical Scientist, Dr. Bibawi is responsible for developing and reporting flow cytometry assays for routine diagnosis of leukemias/lymphomas, RBC membrane disorders, and inherited platelet disorders. He is also responsible for core haematology services including peripheral blood and bone marrow reporting, coagulopathies, haemoglobinopathies and blood transfusion services.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Bibawi is very interested in medical education and collaborates as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine at Qatar University.
