The 8th Medical Laboratories Conference is Kuwait’s premier scientific gathering dedicated to advancing clinical virology, molecular diagnostics, quality management systems, and laboratory practice. Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health, the conference takes place on 16–17 November 2026 at Grand Hyatt Hotel Kuwait.
Clinical virology and laboratory medicine are advancing rapidly worldwide, driven by emerging and re-emerging viral pathogens, multiplex and sequencing-based platforms, and tightening international accreditation requirements. This conference brings global expertise directly to Kuwait’s medical laboratory workforce, translating international scientific and regulatory developments into practical guidance for routine diagnostic practice.
Organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Health — Medical Departments Council and Medical Laboratory Directorate — the event brings together medical laboratory professionals, clinicians, researchers, academicians, and industry partners to exchange knowledge, share the latest scientific developments, and foster collaborations that advance clinical virology and laboratory medicine.
The scientific program features keynote lectures, scientific sessions, and workshops covering innovations in diagnostics, molecular and genomic technologies, laboratory quality and accreditation, biosafety, emerging viral pathogens, and best laboratory practices.
